Refund Policy
BACHATA BROTHERHOOD
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: August 10th, 2026
At Bachata Brotherhood, we dedicate significant time and resources to securing studios, preparing choreography, scheduling instructors, organizing teams, and producing classes, rehearsals, performances, and events.
Because many of these expenses and commitments are made in advance, payments are generally subject to the following Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in this Policy limits any cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
Â
1. Team Memberships and Brotherhood Programs
Enrollment in a Bachata Brotherhood team or structured training program reserves a place that may otherwise have been offered to another participant.
Once a program has begun, payments already made are generally non-refundable.
Refunds will not normally be provided because a participant:
-
Changes their mind
-
Chooses to stop participating
-
Misses rehearsals or practices
-
Is unable to attend because of scheduling conflicts
-
Moves or travels
-
Does not participate in a performance
-
Does not receive a particular role, position, rank, or opportunity
-
Is dissatisfied with their individual rate of progress
-
Is removed from a program for a material violation of the Brotherhood Oath, Code of Honor, safety requirements, or other membership obligations.
Any refund or cancellation rights required by applicable law will be honored.
Â
2. Payments Made Before a Program Begins
If you enroll in a team, course, or other scheduled program and request cancellation before the program begins, Bachata Brotherhood may provide a refund, credit, or transfer depending on the circumstances and any program-specific terms presented during registration.
Any non-refundable registration fee, deposit, processing fee, or other charge will be clearly identified before purchase where applicable.
Once the program begins, the standard no-refund policy described above will
generally apply.
Â
3. Payment Plans
A payment plan is a method of paying for a program and does not necessarily convert the program into a month-to-month membership.
If you enroll in a fixed-term program using installments, your payment obligations will be governed by the terms presented when you enroll.
Stopping attendance does not automatically cancel an existing payment obligation.
Any request to cancel remaining payments must be submitted to Bachata Brotherhood in writing and will be handled according to the applicable
enrollment agreement and applicable law.
Â
4. Recurring Memberships
If Bachata Brotherhood offers a recurring or automatically renewing membership, the renewal frequency, price, cancellation procedure, and other applicable terms will be disclosed before enrollment.
Cancellation of a recurring membership will stop future renewals in accordance with the cancellation terms provided at enrollment.
Cancellation does not ordinarily provide a refund for a billing period that has already begun or for services already provided, except where required by law.
Â
5. Individual Classes
Purchases for individual classes are generally non-refundable once the class has taken place.
If you are unable to attend a class you purchased, Bachata Brotherhood may, at its discretion, allow the payment to be transferred or credited toward another eligible class.
Credits and transfers are not guaranteed unless specifically stated at the time of purchase.
Â
6. Workshops and Special Training Events
Workshop, intensive, bootcamp, and special-training registrations are generally non-refundable once the applicable registration deadline has passed or once the event has begun.
Before that time, Bachata Brotherhood may permit a registration to be transferred to another participant or applied as credit toward another eligible Brotherhood service.
Any transfer must be approved by Bachata Brotherhood.
Â
7. Private Lessons
Private lesson appointments require advance scheduling and reserve instructor time.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
If sufficient notice is provided, the payment may be transferred to a rescheduled lesson.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson may result in forfeiture of the lesson payment.
Failure to attend a scheduled private lesson without notice may be treated as a completed lesson and will generally not qualify for a refund or credit.
Bachata Brotherhood may make reasonable exceptions for emergencies or extraordinary circumstances.
Â
8. Events and Socials
Tickets and registrations for Bachata Brotherhood social events, parties, showcases, performances, or similar events are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
If permitted, tickets may be transferred to another person with prior approval from Bachata Brotherhood.
Failure to attend an event does not qualify a participant for a refund.
Â
9. Merchandise
Merchandise returns depends on the Merchandise Third-Party Seller. Bachata Brotherhood is not responsible for Merchandise refunds.
Customized, personalized, or made-to-order merchandise is generally final sale unless the item arrives defective or Bachata Brotherhood made an error in fulfilling the order.
Worn or used apparel is not eligible for return except where required by law.
Customers are generally responsible for return shipping unless the product was defective, damaged, or incorrectly fulfilled.
Â
10. Missed Classes and Rehearsals
Participants are responsible for attending scheduled classes, rehearsals, practices, and events associated with their program.
Bachata Brotherhood does not normally issue refunds, prorated refunds, or credits for sessions missed by an individual participant.
Where possible, instructors may provide reasonable opportunities for participants to catch up, but makeup instruction is not guaranteed.

11. Schedule or Location Changes
Bachata Brotherhood may occasionally need to adjust:
-
Class times
-
Rehearsal times
-
Studios or venues
-
Instructors
-
Performance schedules
-
Other program details
Reasonable schedule or location changes do not automatically qualify participants for refunds.
If a substantial change prevents Bachata Brotherhood from providing the primary service purchased, we will work with affected participants to provide an appropriate solution, which may include a rescheduled service, credit, transfer, or refund.

12. Cancellations by Bachata Brotherhood
If Bachata Brotherhood completely cancels a paid class, program, workshop, private lesson, or event and does not provide a reasonable replacement or rescheduled service, affected customers may receive:
-
A refund
-
A prorated refund
-
Account credit
-
Transfer to another comparable service
The appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and the amount of the purchased service that has already been provided.
If a multi-session program is canceled after it has begun, any refund, where applicable, may be prorated based on the portion of the program already provided.
Â
13. Removal for Misconduct
A participant may be suspended or removed from Bachata Brotherhood for serious or repeated violations of:
-
The Brotherhood Oath
-
Code of Honor
-
Safety requirements
-
Membership obligations
-
Venue rules
-
Other applicable policies
Removal for misconduct does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Any amounts legally required to be refunded will still be refunded.
Â
14. Medical or Extraordinary Circumstances
We understand that serious injuries, medical situations, family emergencies, or other extraordinary circumstances may occur.
Participants experiencing an exceptional situation may contact Bachata Brotherhood to request consideration for:
-
Program credit
-
Transfer
-
Payment adjustment
-
Temporary pause, where available
-
Partial refund
Such requests will be reviewed individually and are not guaranteed except where required by law.
Bachata Brotherhood may request reasonable documentation when appropriate.
Â
15. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, financial institution, or platform used for the transaction.
Any non-refundable processing charges imposed by an independent payment provider may be deducted where permitted by law and where appropriately disclosed.
Â
16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a payment was made incorrectly, please contact Bachata Brotherhood before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
This provision does not limit any rights you may have with your bank, payment provider, or under applicable law.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of purchasing or participation privileges.
Â
17. Statutory Cancellation Rights
Certain transactions may be subject to cancellation or refund rights established by federal, California, or other applicable law.
Where such rights apply, those legal requirements control over any conflicting provision of this Policy.
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to waive a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
Â
18. Exceptions
Bachata Brotherhood may make exceptions to this Policy at its discretion when circumstances reasonably justify doing so.
Granting an exception in one situation does not require Bachata Brotherhood to provide the same exception in another situation.
